Huge congratulations on the safe arrival of your child! We are delighted that you would like them to be baptised at St Peter’s.
Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives. Be assured of our prayers for you and your child as they begin this journey.
How to Arrange a Baptism
We have a simple process to get everything sorted for you:
- Complete the Enquiry Form: Please download this form, fill it in, and email it to our Vicar, Rev’d Suzy Pearson, at vicar@spcbalsall.org.uk.
- The Preparation Session: Suzy will contact you to arrange a relaxed, interactive session (approx. 1 hour) in the church. Together, you will explore what baptism is about, see the font, and plan the service. Please come to this session with a few date options in mind and a rough idea of guest numbers.
- The Service: Baptisms can take place during our regular Sunday morning services or as a separate service on a Sunday at 12:15pm.
Getting Involved
You don't have to wait for the baptism to join us. We have groups specifically for parents and little ones:
- Teeny Tinies and Toddlers: Fridays 1:30-3:00pm (Term time).
- Family Services: 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month at 11am, and 3rd Sunday of the month in the hall at 9:30am.
- Café Church: 5th Sunday of the month at 9:30am (Activities around tables).
