St Peter / Balsall Common

Huge congratulations on the safe arrival of your child! We are delighted that you would like them to be baptised at St Peter’s.

Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives. Be assured of our prayers for you and your child as they begin this journey.

How to Arrange a Baptism

We have a simple process to get everything sorted for you:

  1. Complete the Enquiry Form: Please download this form, fill it in, and email it to our Vicar, Rev’d Suzy Pearson, at vicar@spcbalsall.org.uk.
  2. The Preparation Session: Suzy will contact you to arrange a relaxed, interactive session (approx. 1 hour) in the church. Together, you will explore what baptism is about, see the font, and plan the service. Please come to this session with a few date options in mind and a rough idea of guest numbers.
  3. The Service: Baptisms can take place during our regular Sunday morning services or as a separate service on a Sunday at 12:15pm.

Getting Involved

You don't have to wait for the baptism to join us. We have groups specifically for parents and little ones:

A Gift for the Future

Baptism is a free gift. However, we want St Peter’s to be here for generations to come. If you are able, please consider a donation via our Parish Giving Scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer, please Gift Aid your donation as it boosts your gift at no extra cost to you.
